Young, Not Silent will be held Saturday, November 18 at the Tangeman University Center at the University of Cincinnati .

To kick off the day, from 11am - 1pm, we are offering adults a unique opportunity to listen to youth share their opinions and perspectives on questions raised by the City of Cincinnati's Youth Gap Analysis Study.

In May, the final report of the Youth Gap Analysis was released with 10 key recommendations. One of those recommendations was "Community does not play the role we think it does in the lives of most youth."

Many community organizations spend a lot of time thinking about how do we get young people to come and engage with us. At Young, Not Silent, we are asking adults to go where the young people are and hear their thoughts and concerns.

After a brief welcome, there will be facilitated small group conversations designed to allow youth participants to be seen, heard, and valued for their reflections on community organizations and resources.

At 12:30pm, youth will be dismissed for their first workshop and adults will remain to debrief and reflect on what they heard from the youth.

If you are staying for the Opportunity Resource Fair, exhibitors will have from 1:00pm - 1:30pm to set up their tables.
