YOUNG, NOT SILENT (formerly YCC YOUTH SUMMIT)

The Youth Summit is developed by youth, for youth. It is an opportunity for youth in Cincinnati to learn, be engaged, and be heard. A committee of YCC board members, community leaders, and dozens of students work hard to plan the annual event. Each year, the event includes a wide variety of programming options and garners a large youth turnout -- more than 400 students from the Greater Cincinnati area attend. The planning and coordination of Young, Not Silent as a result of the efforts of the organizations below.

THE CINCINNATI POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Cincinnati Police Department is the primary law enforcement agency for the City of Cincinnati and provides a full range of police services to 52 diverse neighborhoods.The Cincinnati Police Department takes pride in continually advancing and encouraging innovative strategies to prevent crime.

YOUTH COMMISSION OF CINCINNATI

The Youth Commission of Cincinnati("YCC") was established by Cincinnati City Council in April, 2012.  YCC acts as a voice for the concerns of Cincinnati youth, advises the Mayor and City Council on their needs, and guides city leaders on decisions relating to youth issues.  

CINCINNATI YOUTH COLLABORATIVE

The Cincinnati Youth Collaborative (CYC) makes a significant difference in the lives of vulnerable young people in 2nd grade through college by providing a range of services designed to keep kids in school, prepared for college and career, and on the pathway to success.

Bringing together over 770 volunteers and 59 local businesses, CYC strives for dropout prevention by offering mentoring, college readiness and success, and career preparation. CYC is:

  • a partner with Cincinnati Public School District, Winton Woods, North College Hill, and Norwood City Schools.

  • one of the longest-standing strategic relationships with Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS) district wide, with access to school academic data.

  • the only local organization to offer a full range of youth development services both within and outside of schools.

YOUTH AT THE CENTER

Youth At The Center (YATC) connects children, youth, and young adults to leadership development opportunities and experiences that advance their personal and professional growth. YATC works with existing youth serving organizations to create an intentional continuum of learning and leadership communities that support and equip young people with the knowledge, skills, and awareness they need to safely and successfully navigate their respective paths to adulthood.
